Agility introduced.
For the success of any digital transformation , a functional organisation, seamless processes and scalable technology are very important – and agility is crucial.
So why hasn’t the hierarchical system been replaced by an agile mindset long ago? And why is it that even where agile project management is already being used successfully as an efficient management method, the corporate organisation is still not agile in the slightest?
“Agility requires courage,” explains @ Alex Betz, and claims: “The rest is easy.”
Introducing topic- and function-orientated collaboration across departments, consistently living ‘empowerment’ so that the respective experts make professional decisions independently of hierarchy. And at the same time, demand rigorous transparency: Mistakes are allowed, setbacks are normal, but these – as well as successes – take place in meticulously documented transparency.
Think in terms of motivating ‘products’ and focus on the benefits for external or internal customers. In the role of a topic-specific CEO, a ‘product owner’ consistently pursues the goal of the ‘product’ together with the ‘product members’, which is implemented in small steps.
Also indispensable: ‘Feedback’ as a constant companion to all meeting formats and measures. Because only through open feedback and constructive criticism is continuous improvement of the target image and approach possible. Everyone enjoys the progress we make together.
