At the beginning of the year, we introduced ‘The Living Organisation Handbook – lohb’. On this digital platform, employees seamlessly design and live the operating model along the value chain. They organise their daily work in an agile, transparent and collaborative manner.

We have since introduced the living organisation handbook to several customers and their hundreds of employees. We have received exceptionally good feedback. At the same time, various improvements and a cool idea emerged: the lohb mouse pad.

This special mouse pad, which our customers receive in a customised and branded version, reminds all employees every day of the simple rules that make our lives and interactions within the company so much more organised, smooth and efficient.

Here is an excerpt from the mouse pad on meeting culture. The agenda is first used online as a live protocol and then transferred to a clearly defined task list:

• No meeting with 3 or more people without an agenda.
• The organiser creates the agenda in the tool.
• Participants enter their topics in advance.
• Everyone reads the contents before the meeting begins.
• Everyone works live in the meeting notes.
• Everyone assigns themselves tasks in the meeting.
• Each task has a person responsible and a due date.

Trivial? Yes, and highly effective at the same time. Everyone in the company always has the same level of information (or can look it up if necessary), the procedure and the next steps are transparently documented, and everyone knows exactly what tasks they have to complete and by when.
